Blackwood notched up another home win against a very competitive and physical Abergavenny side, and although running out winners 32-13 the game was a lot closer than the score suggests. Having scored two well worked tries in the first half, converting both and adding two penalties to the score found us leading at the break 20-3, we then found ourselves defending for the fist thirty minutes of the second half and conceded two well worked tries by Abergavenny which luckily for us were not converted. The score now 20- 13, Blackwood turned it up and instead of defending started attacking, with only a couple of minutes on the clock we secured a third try which was duly converted. Having made the game safe many of the supporters were either on their way back to the clubhouse or on their second pint when with the last play of the game seen Blackwood cross the line for the fourth try and the bonus point.

A well-deserved Man of The Match went to Ryan Williams for an all-round performance and a well taken try.
