Blackwood RFC maintained their perfect start to the division 2 East campaign despite finishing the game with fourteen men on the field.
Tries from Jordan Watkins, Jacob Kenniford, Lewis Garrard, Ben Stokes and a double from Connor Lewis where coupled with a Callum Gleadall Penalty further extended Blackwood's lead at the top of the table.
The hosts crossed for tries thanks to Daniel Crouch and a double from Ben Papp,
A red card with 55-minutes on the clock for try scorer Watkins tested Blackwood's backbone to see out the game which they did with a bonus point to take back to Glan Yr Afon park.
Blackwood took no time at all to get going with a try from the very first kick off. Josh Law breaking down field before offloading to Lewis who crossed over to continue his fine start to the season.
Ten minutes later and the visitors grabbed their second when Watkins crossed after some tough yards gained from the Blackwood pack to break down the Usk defence taking the score to 12-0.
Five further minutes on the clock and Blackwood made it three tries in ten minutes when kenniford threw a great dummy pass before picking his gap to cross the whitewash.
The bonus point for the visitors would come in the 14th minute when Lewis grabbed his second of the match, Law once again finding his winger who raced in from fourty yards out the secure his sides bonus point try.
The visitors put their first points on the board when Iorath Williams slotted over a penalty from dead infront of the uprights.
The visitors would grab a try back for themselves with a thundering scrum from five meters out when Ben Papp broke away to touchdown just before the half time whistle.
Blackwood made it try number five just after the break when Garrard bulldozed his way through the Usk defence from close range to take the game further away from Usk.
Daniel Crouch would secure the hosts' second try when the second row bundled his way over the tryline after a solid driving maul from five-meters out
Papp grabbed his second of the match in a carbon copy of the number eights first try of the match when the Usk pack shoved their way over from another astonishing scrum display.
Stokes closed out the win for Blackwood. The scrumhalf pouncing on a loose ball to secure his sides win on the road.
