Blackwood brushed aside Blaina RFC to continue their unbeaten start to their Division 2 east promotion persuit.
Tries in this one from Sam Morris, Connor Lewis and Jack Morris ensured Blackwood would make it two wins from two and their first home win of the season.
Blaina RFC could only cough up two penalty kicks through David Langdon and will be dissapointed following their 42-0 victory last weekend agaisnt Garndiffaith.
Sam Morris had blackwod up and running after 18-minutes with a lovely solo effort.
After a strong scrum the hosts shifted the ball towards the opposite wing before moving the ball back infield on the next phase.
Morris who called for the ball away from the majority of players and some quick thinking from the centre saw him race to the corner and open Blackwood's scoring for the afternoon.
Jacob Kenniford added the extras to bring Blackwood to seven points ahead before the 20-minute mark.
Blackwood would add to their early lead just before the half time whistle through connor Lewis.
The Blackwood pack drove a steady maul from a lineout allowing the Blackwood backline to stretch the play and exploit the wide pitch of Glan Yr Afon park.
Some slick hands and running lines saw Jack Morris get on the outside shoulder of his opposite man before feeding the ball to Lewis who crossed over the whitewash with ease.
Kenniford calmly collected the extras for his second conversion of the afternoon and taking Blackwood's lead to 14-points
Blaina closed the gap to Blackwood back with two penalties within 10-minutes.
The first of which saw Blackwood penalised for a high tackle just outside their 22 which Langdon smoothly slotted over.
Then just 10 minutes later Blaina and Langdon kicked their second penalty of the match.
This time Blackwood were penalised at the breakdown for offside inside their 22 which Langdon didn't think twice about and slotted another three points for his side.
Blackwood closed out the game with a fantastic 100-metre long try from their own try line.
The initial break was made by Connor Lewis who raced from Blackwood's 22 up to the half way before feeding the ball to Josh Law.
Law then used his experience to hold the ball and draw the defender before offloading to Jack Morris who finished off the move in the corner.
Blackwood showed real heart to push for a bonus point win but their effort fell just short, nevertheless Blackwood sit joint top of Division 2 East after two games and now face an away trip to second placed Croesyceiliog.
