Last Saturday we seen another entertaining game at Glan Yr Afon Park when we faced Cwmbran RFC. We expected a tough physical encounter, and true to form that’s what we got. A game full of action, some stunning tries and a solid team performance. Blackwood ran out winners 48 -10, we ran in six tries, two apiece for Laurence Pritchard and Ryan Williams, and further tries from Gary Wilkes & Mathew Minty. Scott Turner converted all six tries and added to his tally with two penalty kicks, taking his seasons league tally to sixty-seven points (one try, nineteen conversions and eight penalties). The Worthington Man of The Match this week went to Jason James, a solid performance for a full eighty minutes. Well deserved! So far this season in the four league games played, we have run in 21 tries, and we didn’t cross the line against Ynysddu, take in the cup game played and that rises to 26 tries. Keep it up!
